However they seem to be confident about their team combination and have refused to make wholesale changes after last year's debacle.
RCB have retained the services of international stars in Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Chris Gayle, Mitchell Starc and Rilee Rossouw. They have also held onto local talents like Varun Aaron, Yuzvendra Chahal, Iqbal Abdulla and Manvinder Bisla.
Outgoing performers such as Yuvraj Singh, Albie Morkel and Muttiah Muralitharan have been replaced by younger talents of Adam Milne, Sean Abbott and David Wiese. Darren Sammy and Dinesh Karthik are other notable inclusions.
The decision to retain most of the star players might be vindicated as RCB now boast a formidable batting line up alongside a great pace attack. The only shortcoming might be the lack of an internationally recognized spinner.
